Before I start I will like for you to answer this questions silently to yourself that are listed below:
- Do you have faith as the size of a mustard seed?
- Do you truly walk by faith and not by sight?
- Do you truly confessed in your heart that all God promises will happen in his perfect timing?
If your answers are yes or no or maybe that’s okay don’t beat yourself up. Hopefully this post will encourage your faith, so lets begin.
As I was reading the book of Genesis chapter 22 in the bible. I have learned that God told Abraham to take his one and only son, Issac to the land of Moriah and offered him there as a burnt offering. You are probably thinking to yourself why would God tell Abraham to kill his son? Well, God tested Abraham to see if he was going to be obedient. Truth be told Abraham passed the test. As I continued to read what stood out to me was the verses 10-12 which is listed below.
10″And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.”11″ But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” So he said, “Here I am.”12″ And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me”.New King James Version.
- Habakkuk 2:4
“Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.”
- Matthew 6:30
“Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith.”
- Matthew 9:2
“Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.”
