I’m engaged!

Yes you read the title correctly. I am engaged to my fiance Colin of almost 5 years of dating. I can’t believe I am engaged to him after praying for so many years. Woo hoo God is so crazy faithful. I’m writing this blog late but, he propose to me on December 31, 2017 at his house. I didn’t want a public proposal I can be an introvert at times lol. The day he propose my ring was to big. We had to send it back to Kay Jewelers for it to be resize. It has been almost two long months of me not wearing my ring. Good thing I’m a patient person. Trust me our godly ordained relationship was not all tulips and flowers. We been through the breakups, arguments and tears. Just like every other relationship. Every time the devil tried to destroy what God created. Jesus will come through and restore our relationship back together. We got tested so many times throughout these years of being together. We both knew we are meant for each other through dreams, visions, signs and confirmation from God. The enemy even sent people in our lives to try to break us up. Jesus said “What God joined together let no one separate.” I believe that by faith!

Being in a godly relationship completely set apart from worldly relationship was tough. Our relationship consist of sacrifice, meek-ness, long-suffering, love, trust, fasting, praying and putting God first. We made a vow in 2015 that we were not going to kiss again until our wedding date. We also abstain from having sex outside of marriage. Glory to the Lord we kept that vow as of today. We’re in a long distance relationship because I’m away at school. It was hard not seeing him for months at a time. I kept telling myself we will be with each other one day. That day will be here soon. As of right now I haven’t picked out a wedding date yet. We’re just taking step by steps as the Lord is preparing us to become one. I’ll keep you updated of our faith walk leading to marriage. I just wanted to encourage you if you’re single. Let God prepare you to be a wife and don’t settle for less. If you’re a man reading this blog don’t chase Jezebel chase Ruth. We do not want to birth no Ismael in this season nor Jezebel. Remember God has an amazing plan for your life. Even when things are not making sense. Continue to walk by faith and not by sight.

This is how the ring looks after he proposed

The day the ring had to be shipped so, it can be resized.

My future Boaz, best friend and prayer partner!

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:2-4 nkjv
